Welcome to the Greene County

The Greene County Industrial Board, in partnership with Alabama Power Company, is proud to announce today the construction of a new state of the art speculative building in the Crossroads of America Industrial Park.  Greene County takes an aggressive approach in assisting business with their relocation/expansion needs. This assistance is tailored to your particular circumstances and current needs.

Alabama Power Company designed this program to advance the construction of quality available buildings, in order to assist Alabama communities in improving their opportunities for economic growth. The program provides financing of up to 70% of the total cost of the facility. This building will be used to further support the strategic plan for economic growth and development as outlined by the Alabama Commerce Commission, which was appointed by Governor Don Siegelman.

Industrial Board Chairman Danny Cooper said, “This building will attract industry to this world-class industrial park with a transportation infrastructure that is first rate. We will continue to work with Alabama Development Office, Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, Alabama Power Economic Development and other ED entities to market this area of the state.”

“This is a major step, in the right direction, for the Industrial Board and signifies the commitment to growth by our business partners. We are more than excited,” said Mr. Cooper. He also thanked Terry Waters, Chris Bell and Sondra Dunaway of Alabama Power Co. for their assistance and support of this project.  Terry Waters, Western Division Manager for Alabama Power Company remarked, “Available buildings are an important recruiting tool for industry.  We are pleased to be able to offer this program to assist communities in improving their opportunities for economic growth”.

The industrial park is located in Boligee on Interstate 20/59 at exit 32. Several companies across many different industry lines have been attracted to the park because of its location and accessibility of rail, water and interstate plus major utilities.
